Description

  • Build software in line with project specifications
  • Create, develop, and unit test Angular and React user interfaces
  • Use development environments such as Visual Studio Code
  • Engage users in Agile activities to clarify requirements
  • Gather feedback through demonstrations and improve solutions
  • Support applications through testing and production stages
  • Coordinate with the lead on deploying code fixes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and one year of relevant experience
  • Experience designing, developing, and documenting UI code within a large-scale software system
  • At least two years of React development experience
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AWS services including EC2 and S3, jQuery, Angular, React, Java, Spring Boot, SQL, XML, Unix/Linux, JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, and JSON
  • Familiarity with browser debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools
  • Experience applying tools and methods to debug user interfaces and components
  • Experience integrating with complex backend APIs
  • Critical and creative thinking skills for developing innovative software solutions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust position with favorable suitability from a CBP Background Investigation
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Residence within the GWA or Ashburn, Virginia commuting area for on-site work
  • A master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field is preferred
  • React Native experience is a plus
  • Experience with Redux and RTK Query is preferred
  • Recent UI-focused course projects, internships, co-ops, or personal work are a plus
  • Experience with Agile development practices
  • Initiative and the ability to clarify broad requirements and complete assignments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively while also working independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
