RF Engineer - Onsite in Maryland

Support defense, federal, and commercial satellite customers as an RF spectrum engineer for HII. Analyze signals, manage spectrum, and incorporate RF requirements into mission systems.

Description

  • Support Department of Defense, federal, and commercial satellite customers
  • Contribute to radio frequency spectrum management, analysis, electronic warfare, and engineering programs
  • Use technical concepts, methods, and procedures to develop engineering products
  • Conduct spectrum measurements and signal analysis with specialized tools
  • Partner with design and operations teams to incorporate RF spectrum needs into system development
  • Investigate spectrum-related problems and recommend corrective measures
  • Develop and apply knowledge of DoD, NTIA, and FCC spectrum policies and procedures
  • Monitor emerging technologies and their spectrum implications
  • Complete additional assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Level 3: Five years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field, three years with a master's degree in a related field, or nine years with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Level 4: Nine years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field, seven years with a master's degree in a related field, or 13 years with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of RF engineering, wireless communications, or spectrum management, including knowledge developed through internships or academic projects
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and tolerate substantial temperature variations
  • Required travel of 0–10%
