Remote Full-Time Logistics Coordinator – Transportation and Supply Chain

Coordinate routing, shipment tracking, and ocean freight across a retail supply chain. Work with vendors, carriers, freight partners, stores, and distribution centers to support compliant, on-time deliveries.

Description

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across parcel, LTL, FTL, and ocean transportation modes
  • Guide vendors on transportation modes and shipment routing using the company routing guide and approved carriers
  • Monitor purchase orders and inbound freight activity to identify routing needs
  • Review routing requests and obtain missing shipment information
  • Schedule freight pickups and delivery appointments
  • Track pending routing requests while supporting route planning, load scheduling, multi-stop deliveries, and backhaul opportunities
  • Monitor inbound shipments from pickup through final delivery using the TMS, spreadsheets, carrier systems, and related tools
  • Communicate shipment status, delays, and exceptions to buyers, vendors, carriers, stores, and distribution centers
  • Investigate delayed, damaged, missing, or misrouted shipments through resolution
  • Maintain transportation records, delivery dates, freight costs, shipment documents, and import records
  • Track ocean containers and coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, drayage providers, carriers, and distribution centers
  • Act as the daily contact for transportation questions from vendors and support vendor compliance and onboarding
  • Investigate missed pickups, delays, shortages, damages, overages, routing discrepancies, freight charge discrepancies, claims, and disputes
  • Maintain logistics spreadsheets, tracking tools, operational reports, and transportation records
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transportation reports
  • Support transportation process improvements, testing, special projects, carrier activities, and seasonal freight planning

Requirements

  • Strong organization, time management, and follow-through
  • Exceptional attention to detail with accurate recordkeeping
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed remote or hybrid setting while collaborating with the Logistics Manager and other teams
  • Ability to analyze information, identify missing details, and resolve transportation problems
  • Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn transportation, routing, carrier operations, and supply chain processes
  • Logistics, transportation, supply chain, customer service, retail, or distribution experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with a TMS and familiarity with parcel, LTL, FTL, and ocean transportation preferred
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, training, and related activities
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to perform close-vision computer work
  • Ability to perform repetitive keyboard and hand movements
