Remote Donor Communications Manager | Blood Cancer United

Leads donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship communications for Blood Cancer United. Connects donor interests with priorities in blood cancer research and patient impact.

Description

  • Create cultivation materials, impact reports, and targeted collateral for donor outreach and solicitations
  • Lead voice and messaging from executive leadership to high-level donors
  • Produce presentations, overviews, talking points, video scripts, acknowledgements, correspondence, and other collateral
  • Partner and strategize with business stakeholders across the organization
  • Manage material reviews and approvals
  • Advise as a subject matter expert on mission priorities, programs, and funding opportunities
  • Provide strategic guidance that connects donor interests with mission impact
  • Build and sustain relationships with Mission teams
  • Create and maintain communications systems, templates, and resource libraries
  • Implement scalable communications processes, templates, and workflows
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and production schedules
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation
  • Monitor and assess program metrics
  • Create and deliver training, onboarding, and educational resources for Philanthropy staff
  • Keep communications resources organized, accessible, and up to date
  • Encourage adoption of communications tools, templates, and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant nonprofit management, communications, or fundraising coursework or certifications is a plus
  • At least 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in donor communications, donor stewardship, or major gifts within a nonprofit organization
  • Experience translating complex medical and scientific topics for general audiences
  • Experience with design and formatting in accordance with organizational brand standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and Canva is a plus
