Remote AI Safety Expert (English and Tamil)

Cyber Security

Description

  • Probe conversational AI models and agents using jailbreaks, prompt injections, misuse scenarios, bias exploitation, and multi-turn manipulation
  • Create human-generated datasets by annotating failures, categorizing vulnerabilities, and identifying systemic risks
  • Use established taxonomies, benchmarks, and playbooks to maintain consistent evaluations
  • Develop reproducible reports, datasets, and attack cases
  • Assess AI outputs involving sensitive subjects, including bias, misinformation, and harmful behavior
  • Broaden evaluation coverage to identify weaknesses that automated testing may overlook
  • Support Mercor’s AI-lab and enterprise customers in training and improving frontier AI systems

Requirements

  • Native or fluent English and Tamil language skills
  • Sound judgment when evaluating language and content, including whether AI responses are accurate, complete, and appropriate
  • Ability to detect subtle errors, inconsistencies, and omissions
  • Consistent adherence to guidelines, taxonomies, benchmarks, playbooks, and quality standards
  • Clear communication of reasoning to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Flexibility across different projects, task formats, and customers
  • Ability to work as an independent contractor
  • H1-B and STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported at this time
  • Experience in adversarial machine learning, cybersecurity, socio-technical risk, or creative probing is beneficial
