Mobile Engineering Intern
Build and test iOS and Android features for Expedia Group’s travel platform. Work with engineering mentors and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable mobile experiences.
Description
- Build and test mobile components and services with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Develop scoped features and improvements for iOS and/or Android.
- Write maintainable mobile code, using unit tests, code reviews, and basic debugging.
- Contribute to system and API design and data modeling for assigned mobile features.
- Turn product and user experience requirements into performant, dependable solutions.
- Work with peers, mentors, designers, and cross-functional partners.
- Plan work as incremental deliverables while maintaining a high-quality mobile experience.
- Use data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving to improve app quality, performance, and reliability.
- Monitor applications and help resolve issues.
- Learn to use AI-driven tools and workflows and apply AI/ML concepts to products.
- Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions within defined guidance and scope.
Requirements
- Be available for the full program period: May 24–July 30 or June 21–August 27.
- Expect to graduate with an undergraduate or master’s degree in a technical field, such as computer science or information technology, between December 2027 and July 2028.
- Be willing to relocate to the job location if it is beyond commuting distance.
- Be enrolled at a university in the same country as the internship location.
- Have no more than two years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Basic familiarity with automated testing is helpful.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and iOS or Android development is helpful.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with varied partners are helpful.
