Python Developer (Hybrid) - Maryland

Build and maintain Python automation solutions for Sparksoft Corporation, supporting government-focused technology projects. The role covers framework development, delivery pipeline improvements, and collaboration within Agile teams.

Description

  • Build, troubleshoot, and maintain Python automation scripts and applications
  • Refactor Python code to meet enterprise automation standards and business needs
  • Create scalable, adaptable, and maintainable Python automation frameworks
  • Review code for quality, standards, and established best practices
  • Manage work, track issues, and collaborate through GitHub and JIRA
  • Increase test coverage, delivery speed, and production reliability through automation and continuous improvement
  • Work with cross-functional partners in an Agile environment
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bring 4–6 years of professional experience
  • Have at least 2 years of hands-on Python development experience
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency with GitHub and Jenkins
  • Have experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Have worked in an Agile development environment
  • Apply strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities
  • Communicate clearly in written and spoken English
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years
  • Have experience supporting federal government projects, preferably CMS programs
  • Bring exposure to or an understanding of mainframe systems
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
