Project and Contract Manager – Berlin Hybrid

Lead complex industrial customer projects for GE Vernova’s international energy technology business. Oversee SAP project controls, claims, logistics, compliance, and customer coordination from order entry through warranty.

Description

  • Lead operational, commercial, and strategic management of complex customer projects in the Trading & Product+ segment
  • Oversee the complete order lifecycle, from order entry and execution through project completion and the warranty period
  • Apply SQCD standards covering Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery
  • Coordinate interfaces across the factory, Procurement, Finance, Assembly, and customer teams
  • Plan and maintain complex customer orders and sub-projects in SAP according to regulatory requirements and global process standards
  • Prepare and formally review order confirmations
  • Communicate with customers about order changes
  • Maintain payment and revenue schedules and deliver ongoing project reporting through Project Reviews
  • Manage project workflows and develop solutions for operational deviations
  • Identify project and process risks and coordinate corrective actions
  • Analyze gaps between specifications and quotations
  • Negotiate variation claims as part of claim management
  • Manage global material deliveries, including customs and export procedures
  • Ensure legally compliant quality standards through project documentation and certificate verification
  • Coordinate assembly services in line with EHS requirements and supplier standards
  • Manage project commercial activities in SAP under OTR processes and resolve outstanding invoices

Requirements

  • Completed commercial or technical vocational training, or a university degree
  • Equivalent qualifications and motivated career changers with relevant professional experience are also welcome
  • Experience in project management is preferred, ideally in plant engineering, the high-voltage sector, or turnkey switchgear and substation projects
  • Basic knowledge of logistics and customs procedures is advantageous
  • PMI or IPMA certification is advantageous
  • Interest in electrical engineering products and projects
  • Structured, independent, and solution-focused working style
  • Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Professional and confident when working with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Business-fluent German, written and spoken
  • Good English skills for daily collaboration in an international environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe and, in individual cases, worldwide
  • Willingness to support activities at different locations or construction sites
