Premium Auditor – Oak Ridge, TN

Review workers’ compensation and general liability audits for Wholesure, an Acrisure insurance division. Assess exposures, resolve discrepancies, and support policyholders and underwriting teams.

Description

  • Gather and evaluate premium audit information to complete mail audits
  • Contact policyholders by phone and email to obtain required audit records
  • Analyze financial statements, payroll data, non-employee labor records, and verification documents to determine policy exposures
  • Prepare and submit accurate audit reports on schedule
  • Evaluate physical audits completed by other auditors
  • Conduct workers’ compensation and general liability policy audits with limited supervision
  • Verify records used to calculate earned premiums
  • Confirm policy classifications against regulatory authorities, state bureaus, PAAS, and company guidelines
  • Investigate and correct policy-rating discrepancies
  • Address audit disputes and reconcile outstanding differences
  • Conduct new-business service calls and planned follow-ups with account contacts
  • Discuss audit findings with producers, underwriters, insureds, and premium audit leaders
  • Deliver service to internal and external customers throughout the audit process
  • Stay informed about manual rules, market developments, and business needs

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with close attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for detailed analysis and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal abilities supported by business, financial, and operational understanding
  • Well-developed organizational, analytical, customer service, and interpretive skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of premium audit experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Power BI
  • Finalists must complete post-offer verification processes related to the position
