Platform Reliability Engineer (Remote, Germany)

Join SEITENBAU as a Platform Reliability Engineer supporting Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms. Stabilize, automate, and evolve the internal infrastructure behind digital software solutions.

Description

  • Build and operate modern cloud and platform infrastructure using Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
  • Maintain a stable, scalable, sustainable, and continuously improving internal platform
  • Automate recurring infrastructure and operational workflows to reduce manual effort
  • Use Infrastructure as Code and enhance existing automation and platform components
  • Implement and refine monitoring and alerting
  • Investigate incidents and recurring error patterns to develop durable solutions
  • Use operational learnings to guide ongoing platform improvements
  • Partner closely with software developers and other technical teams
  • Advance standards and best practices for operating modern cloud and platform solutions

Requirements

  • A degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience developing and operating cloud-native platforms and infrastructure
  • Deep Kubernetes expertise spanning system design, implementation, and production operation of complex clusters
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Pulumi and/or Terraform
  • Understanding of modern software development principles, ideally including Python
  • Practical judgment and a pragmatic approach to complex technical problems, including time-sensitive situations
  • Willingness to take part in on-call support during regular working hours
  • Very good German language skills at C1 level or higher
