Part-Time Corporate Development & M&A Analyst — AST SpaceMobile

Support AST SpaceMobile’s corporate development and M&A activities on a part-time basis. The role covers deal administration, market research, financial modeling support, and preparation of transaction materials.

Description

  • Manage deal files, virtual data rooms, and transaction trackers with precise organization, labeling, version control, and recordkeeping
  • Prepare, format, and proofread presentations, deal summaries, board materials, and other Corporate Development documents
  • Monitor due diligence request lists and coordinate follow-ups with internal stakeholders regarding open items and deadlines
  • Document internal working sessions and circulate resulting action items and follow-ups
  • Maintain confidentiality logs, NDA records, and documentation for completed transactions
  • Research telecommunications companies, sector developments, and relevant market data
  • Support financial model templates, comparable-company analyses, and precedent transaction summaries
  • Develop competitor and target profiles, industry benchmarks, and inputs for market-sizing analyses
  • Verify and update data in valuation models and deal-tracking spreadsheets
  • Keep deal pipeline trackers and reporting records current
  • Handle administrative tasks such as travel coordination and ad hoc project assistance

Requirements

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, preferably in business administration, pre-law, finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline
  • Previous internship, part-time office, or academic experience in business, finance, financial modeling, or administration is advantageous
  • Academic coursework or demonstrated interest in corporate finance, M&A, investment banking, or telecommunications
  • Prior internship, work-study, or student organization experience involving administration, research, or project coordination
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Foundational knowledge of financial statements and valuation principles
  • Sound judgment and professional discretion when managing confidential or market-sensitive information
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to collaborate on a small, fast-moving, cross-functional team while proactively following direction
  • Effective time management and flexibility to arrange a 20-hour workweek around academic commitments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Ability to work in a conventional office setting and use a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability for a consistent schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, primarily during standard business hours
