Operations Manager – Paris (Hybrid) | Axpo Group

Lead operational coordination for Axpo’s sustainable energy trading activities in France. Oversee controls, risk, processes, data, technology, and cross-functional delivery.

Description

  • Coordinate daily priorities across Back Office, Middle Office, and Front Office Support.
  • Remove cross-functional blockers and maintain visibility of capacity and critical processes.
  • Improve revenue, settlement, and cash controls through defined ownership and risk-based monitoring.
  • Manage operational risks and incidents, investigate root causes, and track control and remediation actions to completion.
  • Coordinate operational, risk, process, data, and technology readiness for new products and commercial initiatives.
  • Improve Front-to-Back workflows by clarifying ownership and reducing unnecessary complexity and manual work.
  • Set local IT, data, and automation priorities in line with Group architecture.
  • Improve data quality and apply automation where appropriate.
  • Partner with the Legal Representative and commercial, operations, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Group teams.

Requirements

  • Background in operational leadership, process improvement, and the design of scalable controls and operating models.
  • At least five years of experience in energy markets or operations.
  • Strong understanding of the power value chain and, ideally, Front-to-Back processes.
  • Experience linking business operations with IT and data through product implementation, automation, or backlog prioritization.
  • Practical experience with incident learning, operational risk management, and, ideally, iterative delivery methods.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in an international or matrix organization.
  • Fluency in French and English.
