.NET DevOps Engineer at AAA — Hybrid

Build, deploy, and support enterprise applications for AAA’s insurance, customer service, and operations teams. Use C#, .NET, SQL Server, and DevOps practices within Agile Scrum teams.

Description

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications serving insurance, customer service, and operations teams
  • Create features and enhancements with object-oriented programming and Agile Scrum methods
  • Turn business needs into scalable, well-structured technical solutions with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Support the full application lifecycle from design and development through testing, deployment, production support, and ongoing improvement
  • Track, assess, and improve application performance, reliability, and throughput
  • Conduct unit and regression testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
  • Use Jira and related Agile tools to organize work and monitor delivery progress
  • Manage dependencies across several Agile Scrum teams to support on-time delivery
  • Explain technical designs, tradeoffs, and implementation plans to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Build technical expertise through practical learning, pair programming, and collaboration with the team

Requirements

  • Proficiency in object-oriented design and development with C# and .NET
  • Experience with the .NET Framework or modern .NET platforms, including .NET Core or .NET 8
  • Strong command of ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and RESTful services
  • Experience with SQL Server, relational database design, and performance optimization
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio and Git-based source control
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Significant experience designing and delivering custom software applications
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle, including coding standards, reviews, source control, build processes, testing, deployment, and operations
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of enterprise application architecture and software design patterns
  • Experience developing and supporting mission-critical, highly available systems that operate continuously
  • Experience integrating applications with third-party APIs and enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with insurance, financial services, or other customer-facing business applications
  • Experience working in regulated environments with security, privacy, and compliance obligations
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools or incorporating AI capabilities into software solutions
