Mortgage Regulatory Specialist - Florida Remote

Support Lennar Mortgage’s compliance program through regulatory research, transaction testing, and business guidance. Help manage policies, examinations, remediation efforts, and evolving mortgage regulatory requirements.

Description

  • Interpret and communicate federal and state regulatory requirements to business partners across the organization
  • Partner with Compliance colleagues and business teams on enterprise projects, training, and compliance initiatives
  • Review consumer-facing advertising and advise Marketing on applicable regulatory requirements
  • Use Lennar Mortgage’s Encompass loan origination system to investigate loan-level issues
  • Research compliance questions from business lines and deliver accurate, timely responses
  • Test and monitor loan transactions to identify risks and control weaknesses
  • Present findings to management, recommend corrective measures, and assist with remediation
  • Track regulatory changes, industry developments, and emerging guidance to assess business impact and implementation needs
  • Create, review, and maintain policies, procedures, training materials, and related compliance resources
  • Use emerging technologies, including AI tools, in accordance with company governance and security standards
  • Support preparation for and participation in federal and state examinations as needed
  • Handle additional duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in mortgage compliance
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending rules, including ECOA, HMDA, RESPA, TILA, UDAAP, ATR/QM, TRID, MAP, CAN-SPAM, SCRA, and TCPA
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply regulations to business activities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Knowledge of ICE Mortgage Technology Solutions, particularly Encompass, preferred
  • Experience with Fair Lending reviews, such as redlining analysis, matched-pair testing, or related monitoring, preferred
  • Experience preparing or submitting regulatory reports, including quarterly HMDA Loan Application Register data and Mortgage Call Reports, preferred
