Management Accountant - Wifinity (Hybrid, UK)

Manage monthly accounts, revenue recognition and financial controls for Wifinity’s connectivity business. Deliver commercial analysis, audit support and finance process improvements.

Description

  • Produce accurate financial reports on schedule
  • Prepare, review and post journals for monthly management accounts
  • Lead monthly revenue recognition by reviewing project and contract data, accrued and deferred revenue, gross margin and discrepancies
  • Analyse overhead, revenue and gross margin variances to explain project profitability
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and control account reconciliations with accounts receivable and accounts payable teams
  • Assist with VAT return preparation and resolve reconciliation differences
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and record monthly depreciation
  • Support the annual external audit by preparing schedules and evidence, answering queries and coordinating business inputs
  • Partner with the business by providing concise analysis for commercial and financial decisions
  • Support finance systems and automation for project accounting and reporting
  • Meet agreed objectives, assist the finance team during peak periods and complete related duties

Requirements

  • Hold a recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA
  • Experience with month-end processing, management accounts and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience partnering with financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel capability and confidence handling large data volumes
  • Successful completion of a basic DBS check
  • Experience with Access Financials is desirable
  • Experience in IT or telecommunications is desirable
  • Experience in a private equity-backed business is desirable
  • Experience working in an SME environment is desirable
