Legal Officer (Sydney Hybrid) – TMGM

Advise TMGM’s online forex and CFD trading business on Australian financial-services law. Review contracts, track regulatory changes, and support licensing, compliance, and regulator interactions.

Description

  • Support business operations with legal advice and handle the review, drafting, and revision of legal documents.
  • Manage third-party contracts, focusing on compliance, legal-risk reduction, and adherence to agreed terms.
  • Assess developments in financial-services regulation and corporate law, and advise management on their operational implications.
  • Partner with the Chief Compliance Officer on regulatory inquiries and the timely preparation of regulatory reports.
  • Support licensing applications, renewals, and other communications with financial regulators.
  • Serve as a legal contact for Sales, Marketing, Back Office, and Human Resources.
  • Coordinate with external counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders to exchange information relevant to company operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law; postgraduate legal qualifications are viewed favorably.
  • Sound understanding of Australian corporations law and financial-services regulatory obligations.
  • Strong capabilities in legal research, drafting, and contract review, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Relevant experience in financial services, private practice, or an in-house legal team is required.
  • Professional fluency in English and Mandarin, including strong written and verbal communication.
  • Able to deliver clear, practical, commercially minded legal guidance.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and competing priorities.
