Lead Electrical Engineer – Jakarta (Hybrid)

Lead electrical engineering design, reviews, and client delivery for Aurecon’s complex building projects in Jakarta. Oversee teams, proposals, and electrical systems from concept development through construction.

Description

  • Develop electrical designs, reports, proposals, specifications, and project documentation
  • Conduct calculations and technical analyses in line with client requirements
  • Plan and allocate resources for small projects and defined portions of larger programs
  • Review and design ELV, LV, MV, and HV power, lighting, lightning protection, earthing, and communications systems
  • Deliver feasibility studies, project definition, concept designs, specifications, and detailed design documentation
  • Coordinate teams to sustain alignment, progress, and delivery quality
  • Review the electrical components of project proposals
  • Lead complete proposals or assigned sections in response to client requirements and project context
  • Develop delivery opportunities that may support future work
  • Manage client engagement, guide decisions, and preserve delivery alignment
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to complex issues and strengthen discipline capability
  • Coach and mentor colleagues to improve skills and consistency
  • Work with internal teams, clients, architects, contractors, and authorities from concept through construction
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
  • Champion and reinforce safe working practices
  • Contribute to business planning for the relevant unit or office when requested

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in building electrical design and M&E systems commissioning for modern commercial and industrial buildings
  • Data centre experience is preferred
  • Experience in data centre or telecommunications projects is preferred
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage personnel
  • Strong engineering consultancy and client management capabilities
  • Track record delivering major or complex design projects for blue-chip clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and technical expertise
  • Ability to communicate complex engineering designs and solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Experience delivering innovative, complex commercial building projects in fast-paced environments
  • Experience or interest in managing projects from strategic and detailed planning through concept and detailed design
