Junior Marketing Executive – Hybrid, UK

Support Linaker’s social media, content, press and digital marketing activity in a junior marketing role. Help strengthen engagement and grow the company’s online presence across key channels.

Description

  • Run Linaker’s social media channels day to day, with a primary focus on LinkedIn.
  • Create and maintain an engaging social media content calendar.
  • Schedule content around marketing priorities, campaigns and important dates.
  • Write, upload and publish content that reflects the brand.
  • Work with colleagues to gather stories, updates, photography, video and other content.
  • Monitor social channels and handle comments, messages and enquiries.
  • Foster an active and engaged online community.
  • Find practical ways to improve engagement and expand the company’s social presence.
  • Track competitor and wider industry activity.
  • Help produce and distribute press materials while reporting on media coverage.
  • Contribute to content creation, campaigns, company news, events and other initiatives.
  • Produce simple visual and video assets with Canva and similar tools.
  • Help update website content, support email marketing and assist with other digital marketing work.
  • Track results, report on social media metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Experiment with content formats, messaging and approaches to increase engagement.

Requirements

  • Previous exposure to marketing, communications, social media or content creation through a role, internship or relevant placement.
  • Solid familiarity with major social media platforms.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Effective organisation and time-management abilities.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • A clear understanding of what makes social content engaging and effective.
  • Experience with social media scheduling or management platforms is desirable.
  • Experience using Canva or comparable content creation tools is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting is desirable.
  • Experience producing or editing short-form video is desirable.
  • Experience in a B2B setting is desirable.
  • A portfolio with examples of previous work is desirable.
