Junior Litigation Attorney

Support Grupo Trigo’s civil and labor litigation portfolio by coordinating deadlines, law firms, legal documents, and contingency records. The role is based in Rio de Janeiro and follows a hybrid work arrangement.

Description

  • Track deadlines, hearings, expert examinations, and case updates across civil and labor litigation, keeping tracking systems current.
  • Coordinate with external law firms, monitor case progress, review filed pleadings, and share relevant information and documents.
  • Collect facts, documents, and supporting materials from internal departments to help prepare defenses.
  • Review and summarize complaints, defenses, decisions, and judgments, flagging key issues for the Litigation Manager.
  • Attend hearings, expert examinations, and other legal proceedings as needed.
  • Prepare notices, responses, agreements, and other legal documents for review.
  • Maintain databases used for management reports, performance indicators, and contingency classification.
  • Document recurring issues across the litigation portfolio to help identify opportunities for preventive legal action.

Requirements

  • Hold a law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
  • Have 1–3 years of civil and/or labor litigation experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Know Brazilian civil and labor procedure under the CPC and CLT, with a basic understanding of Consumer Law.
  • Be familiar with court systems such as PJe, e-SAJ, eproc, and Projudi.
  • Have experience with legal case management platforms such as Projuris, Legal One, Espaider, or similar systems.
  • Demonstrate strong legal writing and summarization skills.
  • Be available to attend hearings, expert examinations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Have experience in a corporate legal department, preferably in retail, food service, or franchising.
  • Have experience managing and monitoring outsourced law firms.
  • Have basic knowledge of risk classification and contingency provisioning as probable, possible, or remote.
