Join CONVOTIS as an Infrastructure Automation Engineer, using Ansible and AWX to automate secure IT operations in a remote Germany-based role. Build CI/CD pipelines, develop Bash and Python automation, and support scalable infrastructure environments.
Description
- Automate lifecycle management with AWX and Ansible
- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines, including integrations with existing external automation
- Manage assigned automation-system work independently from planning through implementation
- Develop Bash and Python scripts that reduce repetitive work and improve operational efficiency
- Document environments and systems comprehensively before implementation
- Design and document automation and network environments for customer and internal projects
- Recommend improvements to configurations and technical implementations
- Train and onboard new colleagues while sharing knowledge across the team
- Work within a shift rotation covering nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Support colleagues outside the core role to expand expertise and strengthen team capability
Requirements
- At least five years of relevant professional experience, excluding education programs and internships
- Extensive practical experience with AWX and Ansible
- Strong Bash and Python scripting skills, including the ability to develop scripts independently
- Extensive knowledge of Linux and Windows systems
- Extensive knowledge of databases and networking
- Independent, structured working style with a strong sense of ownership
- Ability and willingness to train and onboard new colleagues
- Fluent English and Spanish
- German language skills are an advantage
