Description

  • Develop grant proposals, concepts, and letters of inquiry from prospect research through submission.
  • Ensure submissions meet funder guidelines and requirements.
  • Turn CodePath’s mission, programs, impact data, and student outcomes into persuasive funder narratives.
  • Analyze program information and convert it into briefs, proposals, reports, and supporting content.
  • Create frameworks and narratives for complex, high-value funding opportunities.
  • Lead or contribute to major funder reports.
  • Maintain funder portals, submission calendars, organizational credentials, and internal grant systems such as Asana.
  • Develop and maintain a shared library of reusable narratives, templates, proof points, and boilerplate.
  • Partner with Finance, Delivery, Higher Education, and Data to translate updates, metrics, and student stories into funder content.
  • Apply AI tools to improve proposal, report, and content-development workflows.
  • Document writing practices and organizational knowledge to strengthen AI-assisted drafting and automate recurring tasks.
  • Own assigned deliverables from information gathering through submission, including repeatable and AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience writing proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports for institutional and corporate funders, including substantial long-form work.
  • Experience documenting recurring processes, improving them with AI tools, and transferring the resulting workflows to others.
  • Ability to independently synthesize information with data and finance teams and produce accurate narratives.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions while understanding program and organizational strategy.
  • Ability to manage concurrent deadlines, shifting priorities, and evolving information in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail and strategic judgment.
  • Preferred: experience in education, workforce development, or youth-serving nonprofit organizations.
  • Preferred: experience in social impact, technology, or technology-adjacent settings.
  • Preferred: CRM administration experience, especially with HubSpot.
  • Preferred: experience with Asana or comparable project management tools.
  • Preferred: comfort creating simple visual materials in tools such as Canva.
