Full-Stack Developer – Java, TypeScript and Angular | Methods | UK Remote

Build Java, TypeScript, Angular, and Azure prototypes supporting UK public-sector transformation projects. Develop APIs, microservices, accessible interfaces, and secure cloud services across discovery work.

Description

  • Create, design, build, and test cloud applications and prototypes for discovery initiatives
  • Contribute to front-end and back-end development by evaluating technical approaches and digital services
  • Develop applications with Java, Spring Boot, Python, TypeScript, and Angular
  • Create and use REST APIs while integrating back-end microservices
  • Build prototype interfaces that prioritise accessibility, usability, and responsive behaviour
  • Develop Azure applications using App Services, AKS, Functions, and databases
  • Help maintain DevOps pipelines, source control, and automated testing practices
  • Work with architects, data engineers, and UX designers to deliver integrated solutions
  • Take part in sprint planning, peer code reviews, and technical documentation
  • Connect front-end components with APIs and event-driven back-end services

Requirements

  • Hold active SC clearance
  • Bring practical experience using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and Angular in production or prototyping contexts
  • Use Python for API development or integration scripting
  • Understand Azure services such as App Services, AKS, and storage
  • Have experience creating and consuming APIs and coordinating data exchange between systems
  • Know CI/CD pipelines, testing tools including JUnit, Jest, and Cypress, and Git-based workflows
  • Apply secure coding principles and understand OAuth, OIDC, and identity management
  • Demonstrate effective collaboration and problem-solving within multidisciplinary teams
  • Have worked on discovery or alpha projects involving prototypes or proofs of concept
  • Understand containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes, plus Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Be familiar with DevSecOps practices and automated testing pipelines
  • Understand digital environments or public-sector technology standards
  • Have exposure to data integration and analytics solutions in full-stack applications
