Front Desk Associate – CorePower Yoga, Long Island City

Welcome students and support daily studio operations at CorePower Yoga’s Long Island City location. The role includes check-in, retail assistance, studio upkeep, and opening and closing duties.

Description

  • Welcome new and returning students, explaining studio etiquette, class formats, intensity levels, and membership options.
  • Build positive relationships with students and instructors.
  • Help students with retail purchases, mat and towel rentals, water, and yoga products, recommending additional items when appropriate.
  • Manage class waitlists and keep check-in moving smoothly.
  • Share studio updates, promotions, and facility concerns with instructors and the Studio Experience Team.
  • Reconcile class rosters, confirm charges, assist students, and complete end-of-class roster procedures.
  • Support retail sales with sizing assistance, product suggestions, and purchase guidance.
  • Keep merchandise displays organized, process markdowns, and put new products on the sales floor.
  • Prepare practice rooms by resetting props, cleaning mirrors, and keeping spaces ready for class.
  • Clean, sanitize, and replenish locker room supplies.
  • Hold studio keys and complete daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Open the studio for the first class, set up lighting and audio, and create a welcoming space.
  • Close the studio after the final classes by reconciling the point-of-sale system, tidying rooms, and restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • Show an interest in wellness, fitness, or yoga.
  • Bring a warm, welcoming, energetic manner.
  • Be customer-focused and community-minded.
  • Be dependable, responsible, and consistent.
  • Communicate well and build strong working relationships.
  • Use point-of-sale systems confidently and accurately.
  • Experience as a CorePower Studio Experience Team member is preferred.
  • Hospitality experience in settings such as fitness studios, salons, coffee shops, or hotels is preferred.
  • Retail sales experience is preferred.
  • Be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays based on studio needs.
  • Be available for part-time work, with hours varying according to the studio schedule.
