Fractional CTO (Remote - Colombia)
Serve as a fractional CTO advising senior leadership on technology strategy, AI, cloud, and innovation. Define roadmaps and validate use cases with business impact across LATAM.
Description
- Set technology priorities, decision criteria, and a corporate R&D and innovation roadmap
- Advise business leaders on architecture, investment decisions, digital capability development, and innovation
- Track trends in generative AI, cloud, cybersecurity, data, and automation, and proactively apply them to the business
- Design and evaluate PoCs, MVPs, and pilots to validate technical feasibility, security, scalability, and ROI
- Act as a technology advisor to presales teams and teams managing strategic client relationships
- Review technical and architectural decisions for strategic projects, identify technical debt, and manage IT risks
Requirements
- Academic background in systems engineering, software engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a related field
- At least five years of experience in technical leadership, technology strategy, enterprise architecture, or R&D and innovation roles, with demonstrated influence on executive decisions
- Experience defining and tracking technology roadmaps and IT governance
- Knowledge of generative AI, data, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and automation
- Experience evaluating PoCs and MVPs, technical feasibility, scalability, and technology risk mitigation
- Familiarity with applied innovation methodologies and rapid experimentation
- Native Spanish proficiency
- TOGAF, AWS, Azure, or GCP architecture experience, plus Agile methodologies or IT governance frameworks, is desirable
