Financial Analyst – Management Reporting

Support financial reporting, forecasting, and close activities at Brightspeed. Deliver analysis and insights that inform strategic and operational decisions for a fiber internet provider.

Description

  • Prepare and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting packages
  • Evaluate financial and operational performance to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, IT, and other functions on forecast assumptions, drivers, and variances
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close reporting with variance analysis and management commentary
  • Maintain and use financial accounting and reporting systems
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, prepare executive presentations, and support strategic initiatives
  • Strengthen reporting, month-end close, and analytical capabilities through process improvements and automation
  • Develop collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to inform business decisions
  • Complete other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required
  • At least three years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, or a related analytical finance role
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including financial modeling and data analysis
  • Experience with accounting and reporting systems such as SAP, Hyperion/Essbase, or comparable ERP platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to interpret complex financial information and convert it into actionable business insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Consistent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and build effective internal working relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work primarily in an office-based hybrid or corporate office environment
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Preferred: CPA, CMA, or another relevant professional certification
  • Preferred: Experience in telecommunications, technology, or infrastructure
  • Preferred: Experience supporting enterprise planning, executive reporting, or management reporting functions
  • Preferred: Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
