Experienced Cloud-Native DevOps Engineer - Consort Group, Bordeaux Hybrid

Experienced Kubernetes DevOps engineer responsible for administering and automating Consort Group’s cloud-native platforms. The role focuses on security, observability, and production cluster operations in Bordeaux.

Description

  • Build and evolve Kubernetes platforms for cloud-native environments
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management with Terraform and Ansible
  • Establish and advance GitOps practices
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Standardize deployment workflows and operational procedures
  • Help secure platforms and containerized workloads
  • Deploy and enhance observability capabilities
  • Support the integration of identity and access management solutions
  • Administer and operate Kubernetes platforms in production
  • Maintain platform availability, performance, and stability
  • Investigate and resolve incidents affecting clusters, containers, and infrastructure
  • Monitor environments with observability and monitoring tools
  • Interpret metrics, logs, and alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
  • Keep platforms operational and aligned with service needs
  • Strengthen the security of clusters, containers, networks, and secrets
  • Work with development and infrastructure teams to improve service reliability

Requirements

  • Substantial experience administering and operating Kubernetes, preferably across highly available production platforms
  • Solid command of DevOps and GitOps practices
  • Proficiency in automation, Infrastructure as Code, and Linux environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native security concerns, especially containers, networks, and secrets management
  • Advanced Kubernetes expertise
  • Advanced Docker and container expertise
  • Advanced Linux expertise
  • Advanced knowledge of DevOps and GitOps
  • Advanced CI/CD expertise
  • Advanced Terraform expertise
  • Advanced Ansible expertise
  • Experience supporting high-availability systems and production platforms
  • Knowledge of platform and container security
  • Knowledge of networking and secrets management
  • Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
  • Familiarity with Keycloak or a comparable IAM solution
  • Analytical approach and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Self-directed working style and strong sense of ownership
  • Careful and methodical approach to production operations
  • Automation-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong awareness of security and reliability considerations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Scripting or development experience in Python, Bash, or Go is advantageous
  • Experience working with cloud environments is advantageous
  • Experience automating operational processes extensively is advantageous
  • Experience managing Kubernetes platforms at scale is advantageous
