Engine Design and Systems Integration Co-Op at RTX (Aguadilla Hybrid)

Join RTX as an engineering co-op supporting systems integration, requirements management, and propulsion-system design. This Aguadilla role combines three onsite days with two remote days each week.

Description

  • Contribute to system design integration and requirements-management work
  • Participate in team meetings, teleconferences, and training sessions
  • Improve systems and processes through targeted changes that address problems and increase work-area effectiveness
  • Assist with project-management responsibilities
  • Take on additional company duties as business needs require
  • Integrate components, modules, and subsystems for commercial and military propulsion systems
  • Create systems solutions that satisfy customer requirements while advancing engineering quality and productivity

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Computer, or Software Engineering
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required when communicating with customers, colleagues, or supervisors who speak only English
  • Must be living in Puerto Rico when employment begins
  • Relocation assistance is not available
  • Strong analytical and mathematical-modeling ability
  • Able to work at the implementation level
  • Basic knowledge of gas turbine engines is preferred
  • Python or another programming language is preferred
  • Interest in learning about aviation and aerospace and building a career in the field is preferred
  • Creative problem-solving ability and adaptability are preferred
  • Motivation to learn, contribute new perspectives, and share knowledge is preferred
