Description

  • Create scalable electrical designs for complex systems and integrated environments
  • Establish engineering documentation, component libraries, and compliance standards
  • Lead system design reviews to uphold standards, reduce risk, and maintain consistency
  • Design electrical systems involving MCCs, VFDs, servos, and integrated safety circuits
  • Coordinate electrical, controls, mechanical, and project engineering teams
  • Provide advanced field support and resolve escalated technical issues
  • Oversee final as-built records and certification packages
  • Mentor electrical engineers across experience levels
  • Deliver formal and informal technical training
  • Support technical hiring, onboarding, and career development
  • Align cross-functional designs for customer programs and standardized products
  • Work with Project Management on estimates, staffing forecasts, schedules, and risk reduction
  • Represent electrical engineering in executive reviews, customer meetings, and external discussions
  • Assess and adopt emerging technologies, including DC power systems and energy-efficient hardware
  • Improve design automation, engineering efficiency, and bill-of-materials standardization
  • Contribute to department planning, technical strategy, and engineering capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • At least eight years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including technical leadership on complex industrial automation projects
  • Expert proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent electrical design software; AutoCAD Electrical is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical safety, industrial power systems, and system integration
  • Ability to guide multiple engineers while managing complex projects and competing deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience leading customer design reviews and external technical discussions
  • Ability to assess technical risks, solve complex engineering problems, and drive ongoing improvement
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, professional journals, blueprints, and other technical materials
  • Ability to prepare clear technical reports, engineering records, and written communications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to use advanced mathematics and practical calculations, including probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to engineering design, analysis, and problem-solving
  • Ability to use sound judgment and logical reasoning when following written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions
  • Ability to analyze complex technical challenges, compare alternatives, identify risks, and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to sit and use hands to handle or operate objects, tools, and controls
  • Frequent speaking and hearing are required
  • Occasional standing, walking, reaching above shoulder level, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds
