Editorial and Learning Associate - Cengage Group

Support editorial strategy for higher-education learning content at Cengage Group. The role combines competitive research, content development, strategic documentation, and cross-functional issue resolution.

Description

  • Conduct competitive intelligence research and evaluate educational content
  • Work with internal and external partners to turn findings into strategic recommendations and practical insights
  • Generate content ideas with authors, subject-matter experts, and industry partners
  • Create and maintain strategic records, content trackers, and an author talent database
  • Develop and refresh competitive benchmarks that support editorial planning and decisions
  • Act as the primary contact for customer-reported content issues that prevent progress
  • Coordinate across teams to resolve content-related issues promptly and effectively

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyze information, and draw sound conclusions
  • Strong project coordination and problem-solving capabilities
  • Able to work independently while consistently producing high-quality work
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proven capacity to prioritize and manage several complex projects at once
  • Clear, effective collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience partnering across functions to achieve shared objectives
  • Curious, adaptable, and receptive to new approaches
  • Bachelor’s degree, either BA or BS
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • At least two years of experience in a related field is preferred
  • Familiarity with Power BI, CRM systems, and applied AI tools is advantageous
