Director of Infrastructure and Maintenance - Illinois Remote

Lead enterprise infrastructure, facilities, maintenance, and reliability strategy across Voyant Beauty’s beauty and personal-care manufacturing network. Oversee maintenance systems, utilities, asset performance, facility risk, and capital planning.

Description

  • Set enterprise strategy, standards, and governance for facility infrastructure, maintenance systems, asset management, and reliability
  • Define consistent maintenance expectations and best practices across manufacturing sites
  • Direct CMMS, preventive and predictive maintenance, maintenance planning, asset hierarchies, work orders, OEE, and equipment reliability programs
  • Drive CMMS adoption, data quality, and standardized maintenance practices across locations
  • Oversee HVAC, electrical distribution, boilers, steam, compressed air, water and wastewater, fire protection, life safety, roofing, and building systems
  • Assess facilities and identify reliability, compliance, capacity, and business continuity risks
  • Create multi-year infrastructure and maintenance capital plans
  • Support facility modernization, expansions, equipment replacement, and major capital projects
  • Define and track enterprise KPIs covering maintenance effectiveness, equipment uptime, OEE, facility condition, utility performance, and reliability
  • Apply operational data and root-cause analysis to uncover improvements and strengthen accountability
  • Work with site and functional leaders to align infrastructure and maintenance priorities with operating goals
  • Lead change management, training, best-practice exchange, vendor relationships, and enterprise programs
  • Direct utility optimization, energy reduction, water conservation, and sustainability efforts
  • Support regulatory, insurance, permitting, audit-readiness, and corrective-action processes
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on equipment commissioning and maintenance integration for capital projects
  • Manage contractors, engineering firms, consultants, service providers, and equipment partners
  • Support investigations into infrastructure failures, equipment reliability issues, maintenance deficiencies, and utility disruptions
  • Present facility condition, reliability, capital, and risk assessments to senior leadership
  • Respond to critical infrastructure or equipment issues outside regular business hours when required

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, reliability engineering, facilities management, manufacturing engineering, industrial technology, construction management, or a related technical field is required
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in maintenance, reliability, infrastructure or facilities engineering, asset management, manufacturing engineering, or industrial operations is required
  • Four to six years of experience leading multi-site or enterprise maintenance, reliability, infrastructure, or engineering programs is required
  • Four to six years of hands-on experience with CMMS, preventive and predictive maintenance, asset reliability, OEE and KPI reporting, infrastructure assessment, and capital planning is required
  • Advanced knowledge of facility infrastructure and industrial utilities
  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance and reliability strategy
  • Advanced knowledge of CMMS administration and governance
  • Advanced knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance and asset management
  • Advanced knowledge of OEE, maintenance KPIs, and performance reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of capital planning and asset lifecycle management
  • Advanced knowledge of facility risk, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Advanced knowledge of root-cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Advanced knowledge of multi-site leadership and change management
  • Advanced capability in cross-functional leadership and influence
  • Advanced capability in financial analysis, budgeting, and return-on-investment assessment
  • Working proficiency in contractor and vendor management
  • Working proficiency in energy management and sustainability
