Data Engineer (Mexico Remote)

Build scalable data pipelines, Data Vaults, warehouses, and marts for Redwood Logistics’ supply-chain technology platform. Deliver operational metrics while working remotely from Mexico with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

Description

  • Build and maintain reliable pipelines from TMS and other data sources
  • Create and enhance data structures to meet changing business needs
  • Maintain Data Vault, data warehouse, and data mart environments that support operational and business metrics
  • Work with internal stakeholders, executives, clients, engineers, and external vendors
  • Provide metrics across multiple functional areas
  • Report to the Lead Data Engineer

Requirements

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • At least five years of technology experience with one or more of Amazon Relational Database Service, Aurora, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Snowflake
  • Advanced SQL development and performance-tuning capabilities
  • Experience with TMS, WMS, or other enterprise logistics platforms is strongly preferred
  • Data Vault 2.0 experience is strongly preferred
  • Fivetran experience is strongly preferred
  • Azure Data Factory experience is strongly preferred
  • REST API experience is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Intellectual curiosity, creative problem-solving ability, and commitment to continuous learning
  • Self-directed, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
