Data Analyst (Hybrid, Estonia) — Luminor Group

Translate banking needs into data and IT requirements at Luminor Group, a leading independent bank in the Baltics. Analyze processes, data quality, and system impacts across Pan-Baltic technology teams.

Description

  • Translate business needs into clear IT and data requirements
  • Lead meetings and workshops with Business, Data, and Technology stakeholders
  • Investigate business processes and analyze data
  • Define transformation rules, data mappings, and business logic
  • Document functional, non-functional, and data requirements for system implementation
  • Support data quality, metadata, and requirements management
  • Work with system analysts and data engineers to deliver complete solutions
  • Identify process improvements and recommend optimizations
  • Resolve requirements questions with business stakeholders and other teams
  • Coordinate requirements discussions and maintain clear information and documentation
  • Identify stakeholders and affected areas, then coordinate impact assessments
  • Create and maintain requirements templates and delivery artefacts

Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related role across the full software development lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, processes, and IT systems in banking or finance
  • Ability to elicit, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements
  • Experience modeling business processes and logical data flows
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders and converting business needs into technical specifications
  • Ability to query and analyze data
  • Understanding of data structures, storage, reporting, and analytics
  • Knowledge of Data Mesh architecture and Data Product concepts is an advantage
  • Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
  • Proficiency with Word and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or comparable tools
  • Proactive approach to identifying improvements and taking ownership
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required
  • Primarily based in the Baltics
