Description
- Review supporting records and customs documents required for each operation and customs regime
- Compare client-submitted documents with the digitized DO and report required corrections
- Check compliance with current customs regulations, approvals, permits, and legal or administrative restrictions
- Confirm tariff classifications based on merchandise descriptions and characteristics
- Verify country of origin and provenance to determine tariff benefits and certificate requirements
- Ensure declarations and supporting documents are completed accurately
- Assess customs valuation factors and the calculation of duties and taxes
- Confirm statutory deadlines for advance declarations using documented consultation evidence
- Verify that products meet minimum description requirements
- Monitor reviews and provide feedback to data-entry assistants
- Identify recurring errors and report them for lessons-learned follow-up
- Support training on regulatory updates, best practices, and lessons learned
- Advise operational staff on technical questions
- Ensure accurate completion of Andean value declarations
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field
- 3–5 years of customs experience in advisory work, tariff classification, and/or technical document review
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of foreign trade, customs, and operational processes
- Strong analytical ability
- Presentation, teamwork, and document-review skills
- Completed university-level professional studies
