Contracts Manager - Leidos (Reston, VA Hybrid)

Lead contract governance, compliance, risk management, and negotiations for Leidos national security and intelligence programs. Partner with stakeholders and customers to support mission-critical work and business growth.

Description

  • Oversee governance, proposal leadership, contract administration, compliance, customer relationships, and contract risk across national security programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that support national security objectives.
  • Control contractual risk by meeting applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • Support mission-critical programs serving national security and intelligence operations.
  • Drive growth through strategic customer engagement, opportunity shaping, and complex contract negotiations.
  • Act as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders and cross-functional leaders.
  • Offer expert guidance, resolve contract issues, and improve organizational decisions.
  • Apply emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance contract processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of government contracts, subcontracts, and proposal support.
  • Sound business judgment, the ability to manage multiple contractual activities under short deadlines, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Expert proficiency negotiating complex terms and conditions.
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR, OTAs, CRADAs, and commercial agreements.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
  • Intelligence Community acquisitions experience preferred.
  • Formal contracting certifications preferred.
  • Experience supporting large capture teams preferred.
  • Experience implementing AI in contract processes preferred.
  • Government or corporate procurement experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work at a customer site at least two days per week and travel to meetings as needed.
