Communications Director, Consumer Tissue at Essity — Munich Hybrid

Lead internal and external communications for Essity’s Consumer Tissue business in an international environment. Shape transformation, crisis communication, stakeholder engagement, and consistent brand messaging across markets.

Description

  • Help develop and execute internal and external communication strategies, plans, guidelines, and operating routines for the business unit
  • Advise relevant functions strategically on communications that support business goals and leadership priorities
  • Define an effective channel mix for internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Create clear, engaging spoken, written, and digital communications adapted to different audiences
  • Support communications for business-unit change programs
  • Set up and coordinate media, issues, and crisis communication practices across business units and local markets
  • Partner with country communication leads and Group Communications to deliver business-unit plans and activate corporate branding
  • Lead communication strategies for transformation and change programs, aligning stakeholders and supporting engagement and adoption
  • Develop strong working relationships across country communications teams and Group Communications
  • Help protect the company’s reputation through consistent messaging across markets

Requirements

  • Relevant communications experience, preferably in an international matrix organization
  • Deep experience in internal communications
  • Proven capability in social media, public relations, and crisis communications
  • Strong digital and analytical proficiency
  • Ability to lead at a senior level
  • Track record of building effective internal and external networks
  • Ability to align processes across different organizations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience directing external agencies and partners
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and consistency
