Its teams operate core infrastructure and services spanning networking, data management, voice and video communications, and enterprise applications. Working with Penn’s schools and centers, ISC also develops specialized tools and technology capabilities that address the needs of an enterprise academic environment.

Clinical Research Coordinator

Coordinate participant recruitment, study visits, regulatory submissions, and data management for clinical research at the University of Pennsylvania. Support clinical investigations at Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine.

Description

  • Screen and enroll participants in clinical studies
  • Administer study assessments during participant visits
  • Conduct study visits in participants’ homes and at study sites
  • Enter data and code interview responses
  • Compile data summaries and reports
  • Attend weekly progress meetings with the principal investigator and research team
  • Coordinate IRB submissions and renewals
  • Collect and maintain study data and source documents
  • Support good clinical practice in clinical investigations
  • Discuss research participation with prospective participants
  • Explain consent procedures to participants verbally
  • Carry out study protocols
  • Enter information into study datasets
  • Distribute study recruitment materials
  • Travel between study visits
  • Complete other assigned duties and responsibilities

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in science and 1–2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • In-depth knowledge of federal regulations and guidance for clinical studies and human subject protection
  • Knowledge of FDA and IRB guidelines
  • Ability to follow study protocols and regulatory requirements
  • A background check may be required after a conditional offer
