Civil Engineering Technologist – Site Development and Planning

Description

  • Prepare and manage construction documents, plan sets, and design packages throughout multiple land development phases.
  • Use computer-aided design software and other relevant digital tools to complete design assignments.
  • Translate civil designs into detailed dimensional drawings and layouts with CAD and GIS software.
  • Review development applications, building permits, and zoning bylaws for compliance with local ordinances and codes.
  • Perform calculations using standard civil engineering formulas.
  • Help assemble and revise standard site development detail sheets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • At least five years of civil engineering experience, focused on Texas land development and site design.
  • Advanced proficiency with current versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with ArcGIS and Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Texas municipal infrastructure design standards, drainage criteria, and site development feasibility.
  • Strong communication skills for working effectively with diverse team members.
