California Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney (Remote)

Abramson Labor Group is hiring an associate attorney to handle California workers’ compensation cases remotely. The role includes managing litigation, depositions, client negotiations, and case resolution.

Description

  • Manage workers’ compensation cases from intake through resolution
  • Prepare clients for depositions
  • Attend depositions
  • Prepare and submit deposition invoices
  • Address client inquiries that call for attorney negotiation and advance cases toward resolution
  • Handle incoming emails and phone calls
  • Guide and direct non-attorney colleagues as needed
  • Set a positive example and foster a constructive workplace
  • Take part in team events during and outside work hours
  • Share feedback with management to help improve client service
  • Report to an assigned Senior Associate
  • Work with paralegals and support staff

Requirements

  • Admitted to the California State Bar
  • Reside in California
  • Be in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Newly admitted attorneys and attorneys who took the February 2025 Bar are encouraged to apply
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Doctors’ deposition experience is preferred
  • Ability to manage workers’ compensation cases
  • Ability to prepare clients for depositions and attend them
  • Ability to handle client inquiries that require attorney negotiation
  • Ability to guide and direct non-attorney colleagues
