Bond and Specialty Insurance Underwriting Intern - Hartford Hybrid

Support risk analysis and insurance projects while building practical experience in underwriting, sales, marketing, and AI-assisted analysis at Travelers. This internship combines structured training with opportunities to apply analytical judgment in a property-casualty insurance environment.

Description

  • Contribute to substantive underwriting and insurance projects
  • Complete foundational assignments in underwriting, sales, and marketing
  • Partner with an assigned professional coach
  • Use modern analytics and artificial intelligence tools and platforms
  • Assess the quality, accuracy, and limitations of AI-supported results
  • Take part in Travelers’ Enterprise Internship activities, including executive talks, networking events, and the Rising Senior Intern Symposium
  • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Be pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree
  • Have a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Study business administration, economics, finance, liberal arts with a business focus preferred, management, marketing, or risk management and insurance
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Be authorized to work for any U.S. employer now and in the future
  • Be able to work without H-1B, TN, or Forms I-983/STEM OPT sponsorship or support
  • Be available for an internship lasting approximately 10–12 weeks
  • Understand that housing assistance is not provided
