Description
- Confirm insurance coverage for new and existing patients
- Process prescription orders accurately and promptly
- Support patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers with customer service
- Work Monday through Friday within an 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. schedule
- Complete the Virtual Job Tryout (VJT) during the application process
Requirements
- At least six months of experience in medical insurance, benefits verification, medical billing, or patient or healthcare customer service
- Verifiable high school diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving ability
- Background in pharmacy or healthcare
- Understanding of insurance carriers and concepts such as drug cards, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage
- Knowledge of government and patient assistance programs
- Availability to work 40 hours Monday through Friday within 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Willingness to complete the Virtual Job Tryout (VJT)
- Bachelor's degree in communications or a healthcare-related field preferred
- Pharmacy experience preferred
- Prior authorization experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party vendors preferred
- Healthcare-related certifications or licensure preferred
