Automotive Electrical Design Release Engineer – Turin Onsite

Develop and manage vehicle wiring systems and technical documentation for Capgemini Engineering in Turin. Support automotive electrical architecture, validation, production interfaces, and engineering changes.

Description

  • Develop and manage vehicle electrical wiring systems
  • Track 3D and 2D wiring design updates and participate in technical progress meetings
  • Coordinate with Project Management and internal and external stakeholders to maintain project alignment
  • Help define and verify electrical network topology, grounding, and vehicle power distribution
  • Prepare, review, and update wiring documentation, including SDP, Build List, Formboard, and design dossiers
  • Participate in reviews and validation of technical documentation and engineering solutions
  • Analyze design issues and identify potential solutions with the relevant teams
  • Support technical activities involving production and plant interfaces
  • Verify wiring modularization and consistency between vehicle configurations and assigned modules
  • Manage and summarize design changes while updating drawings and documentation
  • Help ensure compliance with project standards, methods, and technical requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline
  • Understanding of fundamental electrical and electronic systems and automotive wiring principles
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D design activities and technical documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work with multiple business functions
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Good command of English for technical and project-related contexts
