Audit Administrative Assistant, Assurance — EY, Toronto (On-site)

Support EY’s assurance and tax teams in Toronto through audit file management, financial statement preparation, tax package coordination, and administrative support.

Description

  • Coordinate workflow and administrative priorities for Audit Managers and Partners
  • Organize and maintain audit documentation and files
  • Communicate with audit teams to support engagement activities
  • Create new client files or roll existing files forward in Caseware/Canvas
  • Manipulate and import trial balances with MS Excel and Caseware/Canvas
  • Prepare, balance, update, and format financial statements in Caseware
  • Record adjusting entries and proofread financial statements for accuracy
  • Prepare bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory confirmations
  • Complete financial statements, including required sign-offs and archiving
  • Coordinate tax returns and review notes between tax and audit teams
  • Assemble corporate, partnership, and trust tax return packages for clients
  • Organize and securely save signed tax documents
  • E-file tax returns and forms, and submit paper returns when required
  • Maintain and organize the client directory
  • Support managers with client meeting presentations
  • Coordinate managers’ schedules and facilitate communication and meetings
  • Draft covering letters, tax letters, and other correspondence
  • Handle additional duties as required

Requirements

  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Create new client files or roll existing files forward in Caseware/Canvas
  • Use MS Excel to manipulate trial balances for import
  • Import trial balances into Caseware/Canvas
  • Prepare and balance financial statements in Caseware
  • Update and format financial statements and record adjusting entries
  • Proofread financial statements
  • Prepare bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory confirmations
  • Complete financial statements with required sign-offs and archiving
  • Coordinate tax returns and review notes between tax and audit teams
  • Prepare corporate, partnership, and trust tax return packages for clients
