Associate Sales Representative – Iowa (Remote)

Sell Acumed medical devices, support surgical teams in the operating room, and grow hospital accounts across an assigned Iowa territory. The role includes lead follow-up, business development, customer relationship management, and post-sale support.

Description

  • Deliver Acumed products on schedule, exceed territory sales quotas, and provide technical assistance in the operating room
  • Evaluate existing accounts to uncover new business opportunities
  • Implement targeted sales strategies and follow up with qualified leads
  • Execute business plans that generate and close new business
  • Identify prospect needs and provide suitable responses through written, phone, and in-person communication
  • Conduct field sales calls for assigned accounts, including on-call support and operating room consultations
  • Manage post-sale follow-up, including delivery updates, in-service training, and product replenishment coordination
  • Keep current and prospective customers informed about product updates, portfolio changes, and medical education programs
  • Cross-sell related products and introduce new offerings
  • Resolve account issues promptly while maintaining strong customer satisfaction
  • Keep customer information current in the company CRM system
  • Follow the AdvaMed code of conduct, applicable laws and regulations, accreditation and licensure requirements, and company policies
  • Complete training in sales techniques and product knowledge
  • Stay informed about medical device industry developments, customer needs, and competitive trends
  • Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, promotional events, and professional association meetings as needed, including activities outside regular business hours

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably business or a medical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 0–2 years of proven sales experience, preferably in medical devices
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other surgical personnel
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals in the assigned area
  • Knowledge of product promotion and sales practices, including marketing strategy, product demonstrations, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Comfort working in emergency and operating room environments
  • Ability to obtain the credentials required for hospital access
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to obtain hospital-required credentials for frequent surgery visits and observations
