Associate Business Intelligence Analyst – Pennsylvania Remote

Support Geisinger’s healthcare and clinical teams through data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence solutions. Full-time remote position based in Pennsylvania.

Description

  • Support analytics for assigned business or clinical functions
  • Gather, clean, and interpret data to answer questions and resolve problems
  • Find opportunities for improvement and help assess existing processes and initiatives
  • Observe consultation activities and record project requirements and scope
  • Partner with internal teams and organizations to create reporting solutions and analytical studies
  • Plan projects and request-completion work with guidance from experienced analysts
  • Estimate project time and effort from documented requirements
  • Oversee projects under supervision
  • Suggest analytical methods and supplementary analyses or reports based on business questions and findings
  • Create, validate, and run straightforward queries
  • Build basic reports and conduct routine data analysis
  • Interpret findings and provide recommendations with guidance from senior analysts or supervisors
  • Present analyses and reports to internal customers and stakeholders
  • Identify and assist with resolving data-quality issues during profiling, testing, or validation
  • Contribute to strategic departmental initiatives
  • Exchange information, ideas, resources, and knowledge with team members
  • Adhere to departmental policies and organizational procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least six years of relevant experience required
  • Relevant experience may combine related work experience with an earned degree
  • An associate degree counts as two years of relevant experience, while a bachelor’s degree counts as four years
  • Understanding of data structures, programming, and statistics
  • Familiarity with basic descriptive and inferential statistics
  • Working knowledge of applicable source systems, databases, and data marts
  • Proficiency with the business intelligence software systems used at Geisinger
  • Ability to create, validate, and run straightforward queries
  • Skills in communication, information technology project management, and interpersonal communication
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to explain analytical results accurately and clearly
  • Compliance with departmental policies and procedures, including request intake and fulfillment, change management, and data governance
