Assistant General Manager, Cannabis Retail – Winter Park

Lead retail cannabis store operations in Winter Park by supporting the General Manager, managing inventory and compliance, and developing a team of more than 40 employees.

Description

  • Support the General Manager with store leadership and personnel supervision
  • Manage and reconcile store inventory
  • Drive performance goals and efficient day-to-day operations
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and a high-quality patient experience
  • Help develop and execute strategies that improve service standards and sales performance
  • Uphold visual merchandising and brand presentation standards
  • Review, communicate, and enforce company standard operating procedures
  • Share procedure updates with employees alongside the General Manager and other leaders
  • Coach, train, and develop employees on service expectations and accountability
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records
  • Address patient concerns and resolve escalated issues during assigned shifts
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with business partners
  • Support the General Manager in managing the labor budget
  • Protect confidential information and maintain compliance requirements
  • Complete additional management duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous management experience, preferably in retail or customer service
  • Previous cash-handling experience
  • Capacity to train, develop, and assess a team of more than 40 employees
  • Strong interpersonal communication and professional conduct
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Conversational proficiency in English
  • Ability to use computers, scanners, printers, and other electronic equipment
  • Ability to understand safety procedures and operate telecommunications equipment
  • Ability to interpret data and reach appropriate conclusions
  • Valid driver’s license and a passing motor vehicle record check for delivery locations only
  • Ability to pass Level 1 and Level 2 background checks
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to work independently with flexibility and personal integrity
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with residents, employees, and support agencies
  • Ability to serve patrons of varying ages and abilities, including people experiencing emotional distress or exhibiting hostility
  • Ability to move throughout the facility and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb and descend stools, ladders, and steps
  • Adequate visual and auditory acuity with or without corrective aids
  • Availability for 40–45 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
