Description

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled tools and automation for security engineering, infrastructure operations, and systems administration.
  • Build and maintain machine-learning and rule-based workflows for alert correlation, event analysis, anomaly detection, incident enrichment, and task automation.
  • Create solutions for system monitoring, log analysis, patch verification, compliance checks, account administration, and infrastructure support.
  • Work with security engineers, infrastructure teams, and system administrators to identify automation opportunities and convert operational needs into technical solutions.
  • Help integrate AI and machine-learning models, data pipelines, and automation scripts into enterprise and mission-support environments.
  • Analyze operational data from systems, applications, networks, and security tools.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to systems, workflows, and engineering processes.
  • Help automate administrative work, infrastructure diagnostics, security operations workflows, and operational reporting.
  • Support model evaluation, system testing, validation, and performance optimization.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, workflow descriptions, architecture diagrams, operating procedures, and implementation guidance.
  • Explain technical capabilities, processes, and procedures to stakeholders and support adoption of delivered solutions.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to employees when needed.
  • Review technical deliverables for quality, completeness, and alignment with established objectives.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and configuration-management requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least four years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree plus two years of relevant experience.
  • Applicants without a degree may qualify with at least eight years of directly related experience.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust suitability.
  • Experience building automation or AI/ML solutions with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or comparable programming and scripting languages.
  • Experience supporting security operations, infrastructure management, enterprise systems, or systems administration environments.
  • Familiarity with operational data including system logs, security alerts, asset records, telemetry, configuration data, and infrastructure performance metrics.
  • Ability to work under general supervision while managing assigned projects, tasks, and processes within the job area.
  • Ability to assess operational issues and develop practical technical solutions.
  • Experience explaining technical processes and procedures to internal stakeholders and collaborating across engineering and operations teams.
  • Working knowledge of project management and experience contributing to technical projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical solutions clearly.
  • Experience applying AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation to cybersecurity, infrastructure operations, or systems administration.
  • Experience in security engineering areas such as vulnerability management, endpoint security, security monitoring, identity and access management, or incident response.
  • Experience in infrastructure operations, including server administration, virtualization, storage, network operations, cloud services, or platform support.
  • Familiarity with systems administration across Windows, Linux, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Experience using automation frameworks and tools such as Ansible, Terraform, orchestration platforms, or workflow automation tools.
  • Experience with SIEM, SOAR, log aggregation, monitoring, observability, or ticketing platforms.
  • Familiarity with machine-learning frameworks, data-analysis libraries, and workflow-orchestration technologies.
  • Experience developing anomaly detection, alert prioritization, root-cause identification, predictive-maintenance, or intelligent operational-support solutions.
  • Ability to recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Experience reviewing, validating, and enhancing technical work products.
  • Familiarity with secure development practices, access-control requirements, and compliance-driven operating environments.
  • Previous aerospace, defense, or highly regulated enterprise experience is preferred.
