Application Developer, Programmer Analyst - Pune Hybrid
Citi is hiring an Application Developer, Programmer Analyst to support business applications and technology operations in Pune. The role covers coding, debugging, testing, system enhancements, and risk and compliance controls.
Description
- Help establish and implement new or updated application systems and programs with the Technology team.
- Determine and define required system enhancements.
- Investigate issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and implement improvements.
- Apply business and system processes, along with industry standards, to resolve complex problems.
- Evaluate information and exercise judgment when recommending solutions and improvements.
- Perform testing and debugging, use scripting tools, and write basic code from design specifications.
- Draw on comparable experience to assess options when established procedures do not cover a situation.
- Build practical knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, and technology operations.
- Evaluate business decision risks and protect Citigroup, its clients, and its assets.
- Support compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
- Use ethical judgment to escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently.
Requirements
- Two to four years of relevant professional experience.
- Background in programming and debugging for business applications.
- Working familiarity with industry practices and standards.
- Broad knowledge of a specific business area relevant to application development.
- Working knowledge of programming languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear, concise style.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.
