Android Software Engineer at SoftDesign – Remote Brazil
Build Android features in Java and Kotlin for a SoftDesign partner in a fully remote Brazil-based role. The position includes RESTful API integration, testing, and collaboration across disciplines.
Description
- Build and deliver Android application features focused on user experience
- Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and launch new functionality
- Test and troubleshoot applications while maintaining code quality
- Keep current with mobile development technologies and industry trends
- Contribute technical insight during planning and review meetings
- Support SoftDesign’s partner alongside the Outsourcing Management team and participate in one-to-one meetings
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing Android applications
- Working knowledge of Java and Kotlin
- Familiarity with Git and other version control tools
- Proficiency in RESTful API integration and service connectivity
- Creative and effective problem-solving ability
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- iOS application development experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or other agile methods is preferred
- Experience with automated testing and DevOps practices is preferred
- Background in large-scale projects or high-demand environments is preferred
- A completed or in-progress degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
- Participation in technology groups or broader tech communities is preferred
