Analytics Engineer, UK Cards — Lendable, UK Hybrid

Build dependable data models and transformation pipelines for Lendable’s UK cards business. Your work will support lending decisions, pricing, portfolio analysis, and investor reporting.

Description

  • Develop and enhance data models for lending decisions, pricing, portfolio analysis, and investor reporting
  • Promote engineering standards and help strengthen the analytics engineering culture
  • Collaborate with analysts across a range of technical experience levels
  • Convert business and technical requirements into resilient data pipelines
  • Investigate and resolve pipeline issues and problems that undermine confidence in downstream datasets
  • Increase the transformation pipeline’s efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness
  • Help establish the analytical foundations for the UK Cards team
  • Partner with analysts, product teams, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to improve data structure, transformation, and consumption
  • Maintain the warehouse as a dependable strategic business asset

Requirements

  • Solid foundations in analytics engineering
  • Strong capability in data modelling
  • A clear understanding of how to structure analytical datasets for reliability and usability
  • Extensive experience building ELT pipelines and performing transformations at scale, ideally with dbt
  • Experience with Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse
  • A proactive approach to identifying workflow improvements and proposing solutions
  • Collaborative working habits and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Confidence using AI tools effectively
  • Ability to communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise
  • Permission to work in the UK
  • Availability to work from the office three days per week
