Accounts Receivable Representative III – Remote at US Anesthesia Partners

Manage outstanding government and commercial payer accounts for US Anesthesia Partners in this remote accounts receivable role. Handle claims, appeals, adjustments, and payer follow-up across assigned workflows.

Description

  • Track outstanding claim statuses with insurance companies
  • Process and monitor appeals submitted to insurers
  • Refile claims when necessary
  • Handle daily correspondence
  • Use spreadsheets at a basic proficiency level
  • Review adjustment requests and complete appropriate actions
  • Resolve manual accounts receivable follow-up tasks
  • Manage outstanding receivables from assigned work queues
  • Achieve department productivity standards
  • Maintain at least 97% accuracy on audited accounts
  • Protect confidential information at all times
  • Build expertise across multiple workflows and payer types
  • Recognize trends and communicate them to leadership
  • Complete other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: 1–3 years of professional or healthcare experience
  • Preferred: 1–3 years of accounts receivable experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math ability to calculate anesthesia units, reimbursement, and adjustment percentages
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Advanced understanding of insurance processing, applicable guidelines and laws, and explanations of benefits
  • Knowledge of managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines
  • Accurate data entry ability
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to gather and report information
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and contribute to a team
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
